Import File Formats

Import content into Digital Publisher from your desktop environments in many ways: 

  • Wordprocessor manuscripts - Import Manuscripts to be ready for format generation. Customise Wordprocessor styles to match house requirements. Manuscripts can contain images. Digital Publisher preserves alternative text to allow the creation of accessible ePubs. 

  • ePub files - Import old ePub files to restyle, add value and upgrade for ePub3, Kindle KF8 and any other format. 

  • Standard DocBook - Import and upgrade DocBook files to FoundationXHTML. 

  • Daisy XHTML - ePub3 has become the new accessibility standard. You can import existing files and republish them as ePubs. 

  • Customisable - Digital Publisher can handle the most sophisticated XML DTDs or Schemas. Customise the in-built cross walk processor for legacy XML. 

FoundationXHTML 

We built our Digital Publisher on a trusted and maintained XHTML(5) tagging pattern strategy. Developed by producing millions of pages of content over the last 12 years. We call it FoundationXHTML (FX). 

FX is not a proprietary format or approach. As a controlled and maintained foundation it can be built on for any other requirement (similar to XML).
