Earls Court

Showcasing a vibrant new district designed to evolve with London’s changing needs

The Client

Capital & Counties Properties (Capco) is an investment and development property company. They are one of the largest specialising in central London real estate.

Capco currently manage a landmark London estate at Earls Court. They plan to transform this land into a thriving new central London neighbourhood.

The Challenge

The Earls Court project plans to create a flourishing new central London neighbourhood. The existing site provided information on the master planning initiative. But as the project was transitioning into the pre-sales stage, Capco needed a new website, which was scalable.

The aim of the new platform was to showcase the development progress and support the pre-sales campaign. It was also crucial that the new site reflected their updated identity. Because of this Capco commissioned a New York based design team to pitch the initial concepts and branding.

The project also needed to maximise efficiency for the single part-time content editor. Giving them the freedom to update content without relying on external developers.

The Solution

The first stage of the project involved working with the designers. It was key to the project that we translated their visions into a mobile-first website design.

Our team concentrated on prototyping the content elements to show the design outcomes. This process helped the designers and clients to visualise the different website components. Helping us to make key decisions before committing to the production build.

Our team chose to use Drupal 8 to create the new site. This allowed us to exploit the flexible paragraph types available. Creating a 'reusable content object' library.

The paragraph framework also allowed the editor to create new pages and content. Giving them greater control over updating the site with minimal training.

The end result is a platform which increases efficiency and freedom for the site editor. Whilst showcasing the new property offerings, surrounding area and attractions.

The solution is also flexible enough to scale as the project moves out of the pre-sales stage.
